LP-Staff Accountant

Position Overview The Accountant will manage and plan the Accounts Payable administrative system, including disbursements, coding of invoices, posting of transactions, reconciliation, and related tasks. The salary range for this position is $70,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the vendor master file.
Process all disbursements through the Accounts Payable system for vendor invoices (phone bills, insurance, utilities, consultants, leases, etc.), petty cash, WAM, client disbursement requests and approved check requests.
Review and code all invoices not processed through purchasing.
Review and code petty cash and WAM client account disbursement reports.
Post payable transactions and review & accept payable transactions generated by the purchase order system.
Review invoice batches entered into the system.
Review vendor accounts for accuracy, including application of sales/use tax.
Monthly reconcile accrued expenses and cash exchange.
Participate in the weekly Accounts Payable review meetings with VP & CFO and Sr. Director, Finance/Controller.
Prepare the annual 1099.
Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration from a two-year college or technical school.
3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a multi-service environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for responding to vendor and field inquiries via phone or e‑mail.
Intermediate level Excel skills.
