Tesla is looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented Industrial Engineering Technician to help implement Industrial Engineering and Lean Principles to the manufacturing processes at the Fremont Factory. Through a detailed understanding of the factory objectives and extensive collaboration with internal and external teams, the Industrial Engineering Technician will help improve processes to increase overall efficiency, capacity, quality, and safety. A successful candidate will document cost savings projects and quantify business impact. What You'll Do

Conduct time studies, validate and compile the data across work areas and communicate findings and improvement opportunities to engineers and leaders Assist Industrial Engineers in developing and deploying efficient systems to integrate production associates, machines, material requirements, and information to achieve optimal manufacturing processes Collaborate with Production Management and cross‑functional support teams to identify manufacturing constraints and execute solutions accordingly Assist Engineers and Production Management by collecting and summarizing data to plan work assignments based on production associate performance, machine capability, and production schedules Recommend and implement updates to Standard Work documentation to increase overall efficiency of operations Improve workstation safety and ergonomics What You'll Bring

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) Ability to create and document Work Instructions, Layouts, and Charts. Ability to prepare diagrams (illustrate workflow, part routing, floor layouts, material handling, equipment utilization, etc.) Understands the definitions of Takt time and Cycle Time Ability to collect statistical cycle time observations, analyze data, and identify opportunities to support optimization of processes Experience working with Standardized work (Work Instructions, 5S principles, Continuous improvement, JIT, Kanban or standard Problem‑Solving Methods) Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines Experience working in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Visio MODAPTS or other Predetermined Time Study methods 2+ years’ experience working as a technician or production lead in a manufacturing environment Ability to interpret engineering / schematic drawings Data analysis software experience with one or more of the following – Tableau / Splunk / SQL / Python / VBA / AutoCAD Understands the definitions of Throughput and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Understanding of Line Balancing methodologies and bottleneck identification Benefits
