General Accountant
We are seeking a
General Accountant
to support full‑cycle accounting across multiple entities involved in natural gas, LNG, and commodity trading. This role combines traditional corporate accounting with operational accounting tied to trading activities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Complete bank reconciliations and maintain prepaid, fixed asset, amortization, and lease schedules
Support quarterly financial statements and consolidated reporting
Manage Concur workflow for employee reimbursements
Assist with internal/external audits and internal controls
Help with SG&A reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting
Provide backup support to the accounting team and assist with KYC and tax‑related tasks
Identify process improvements and maintain desktop procedures
Operational / Trading Accounting
Process AP/AR invoice settlements related to trading activities
Maintain ETRM system feeds, interfaces, and master data
Support month‑end close for commodity inventories, sales, purchases, and transportation tie‑outs
Review operational contracts and apply appropriate accounting treatments
Coordinate with commercial teams to ensure accurate trade capture
Process commodity settlements and support operational audits
Assist with sales/use tax and property tax compliance
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills and comfort working in multicultural teams
Basic understanding of internal controls and audit processes
Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level
