General Accountant
Location: Houston, TX – Downtown • Hybrid schedule • Excellent benefits • Bonus potential.
Pay Range $80,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr (Base pay)
Responsibilities
Propose, prepare, and input general journal entries in the accounting system.
Prepare bank account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
Maintain prepaid expenses amortization schedules.
Maintain fixed assets depreciation and amortization schedules, and lease schedules.
Manage SAP Concur workflow.
Prepare quarterly financial statements and consolidated reporting packages for financial reporting.
Provide accounting support for LNG operations and perform/coordinate ETRM invoice settlements.
Assist in the monthly accounting and GL closing process for the operating legal entities on activities such as commodity inventory bookings, monitoring of sales, purchase and transportation bookings, and associated tie‑outs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) – preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting.
Strong MS Office (especially Excel) skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Basic understanding of internal control and financial audit.
