Job Details Needed: Permanent HVAC Technician (Multi‑Family) based in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for multi‑family residential buildings. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
Travel to different locations within the property to understand the working conditions and specifics of each HVAC system.
Work directly with residents and building management to ensure a thorough understanding of the HVAC system and its status.
Maintain and submit detailed service reports and records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power‑washing, or vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, or changing filters.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in a multi‑family residential setting.
Proven experience with HVAC systems, repair skills, equipment maintenance, and electrical systems.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Strong understanding of HVAC operations and the ability to quickly diagnose problems.
Exceptional problem‑solving skills with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, team members, and management.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Physically able to perform duties, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Availability for on‑call emergency service required.
