Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Cash Management, the Patient Financial Services Representative is responsible for Pharmacy cash posting, follow-up, preparation and data entry of refunds for Pharmacy. The representative is expected to be familiar with Hospital and Retail Pharmacy departmental policies, plus procedures and ability to utilize all resources within the Hospital and Retail Pharmacy systems to accomplish the assigned job duties. This position will also provide customer service to patients and families to help ensure that UKHC collects sufficient cash necessary to support Healthcare operations, and participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

THIS POSITION IS FULLY REMOTE.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Customer service oriented

In-depth HIPAA knowledge

Ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, planning and organizational skills

High level of respect for confidentiality

Preferred Education / Experience

Associate’s degree

Third party insurance claims follow-up/collections experience

Medical, office and/or clerical work preferred

Previous experience working with patient accounts/HIPAA is highly preferred
