Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Manage cash flow processes and monitor financial transactions for compliance and accuracy.
Prepare and review financial reports, performance metrics, and budget comparisons.
Collaborate with leadership on system improvements, process enhancements, and special projects.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including several years within a leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with ERP or financial systems.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Skilled in mentoring and developing team members to achieve departmental goals.
Prior experience with project management and implementing new software or systems.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in financial processes.
Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and retirement plan administration.
