Senior Recruiter and Human Resources Professional
CBIZ is partnering with a mid‑size national law firm in the search for a Legal E‑Billing Specialist for either their Downtown Los Angeles or Irvine, California office. This is a hybrid position that offers one to two hybrid days per week once trained. The role is responsible for managing the legal e‑billing process to ensure timely and accurate submission of invoices within the firm.
Location : Downtown Los Angeles or Irvine, California
Salary range : $80,000–$95,000, DOE

Duties
Prepare, submit, and monitor electronic invoices for legal services.
Review and verify billing data for accuracy and adherence to billing guidelines and company policies.
Resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, or client inquiries.
Maintain and update billing records, tracking adjustments and reconciling discrepancies.
Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to ensure compliance with client billing requirements.
Assist in preparing financial reports and generating billing summaries.
Manage e‑billing platform maintenance, including data entry and upkeep of client‑specific billing codes or rate structures.
Successfully administer monthly billings and ad‑hoc requests from billing attorneys.
Qualifications

5+ years of legal e‑billing experience from a mid‑size to large law firm.
Familiarity with law firm billing practices, client billing guidelines, and time entry procedures.
Advanced legal experience handling e‑billing in different e‑billing portals/platforms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive client interactions tactfully.
High level of accuracy in processing and reconciling accounts to avoid discrepancies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Elite 3E is heavily preferred.
