Research Fellow in Biomechanical Evaluation of Wearable Technology – Walsh Lab Position

School: Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Department/Area: Bioengineering Position Description We are seeking a Research Fellow with an undergraduate or master’s degree in Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Movement Science, Physiology, or Biomedical Engineering to assist with data collection and processing for lab and field‑based studies of back‑assisting wearable robots. The Fellow will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support a year‑long field study evaluating the technology in industrial and clinical settings and will occasionally travel out of state to interface with partners. The role also involves weekly organization and quality checking of survey data to ensure compliance with IRB protocols. Responsibilities

Recruit, retain, and build rapport with study participants. Collect, process, and analyze data from field, clinic, and lab studies. Assist with the use of motion capture cameras, force plates, treadmill, electromyography, and metabolic testing equipment. Maintain quality and accuracy of survey and research data. Perform additional tasks assigned by the interdisciplinary research team. Basic Qualifications

Undergraduate or master’s degree in Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Movement Science, Physiology, or Biomedical Engineering. At least two years of clinical research experience. Additional Qualifications

Attention to detail and professionalism. Experience with participant recruitment and retention. Certification in CITI and training in Good Clinical Practice. Experience with REDCap, data collection, and data entry. Application Instructions
