Compensation: $27.50 to $38.50 hourly
Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, the CNC Machinist ensures CNC machines are inspected, programmed, and function properly. Responsibilities include programming (Mastercam), machining setup, operation, and quality control. The role supports High Performance Teams and a LEAN structure, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM EST.
Responsibilities
Utilize Mastercam to program 3‑axis CNC milling machines
Operate manual machines as needed (lathe, millers, drill presses)
Interact with Design, Cost, and Process Engineering team members as needed
Inspect and evaluate equipment and product using various tools, calipers, and measurement devices
Follow proper documentation and reporting standards to ensure data is recorded and escalated accordingly
Communicate well between departments to notify leaders and engineers of troubleshooting issues
Work cross‑functionally to support company LEAN and High‑Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture
Prioritize and multi‑task work in a fast‑paced environment to meet deadlines
Use appropriate PPE for designated areas
Additional Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required
GED or High School Diploma required
6+ years of hands‑on machine shop experience
Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Effective organizational, verbal, and written English communication skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
Additional Details Minimum Education: High School/GED
