Position Summary

The General Service Technician is responsible for performing entry to mid-level automotive services, routine maintenance, inspections, and light repairs. This role supports the overall efficiency of the shop by delivering consistent, high-quality work and contributing to a positive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.

Conduct thorough mechanical inspections (DVI) and diagnostic checks to identify potential issues.

Mount, balance, and repair tires; inspect and replace brake pads, rotors, and related components as directed.

Assist senior technicians with more advanced repairs when needed.

Maintain accurate documentation of services performed and parts used.

Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment remain clean, organized, and safe.

Perform maintenance, interior cleaning, and exterior detailing of rental RVs to ensure they are customer-ready.

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or explaining basic findings.

Follow all safety procedures, shop policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

1–2 years of general automotive service experience preferred; entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude encouraged to apply.

Must be able to provide a verifiable work history (professional references from past jobs listed on resume)

Basic understanding of vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, tires, fluids, and electrical basics.

Basic understanding of computer technology, and shop management software (Tekmetric)

Ability to use standard automotive tools and equipment safely.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate various vehicle types (including larger vehicles like Class C RVs).

Must have your own basic set of automotive tools.

Must speak and write fluent English.

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor safely.
