Duties Perform close conduit and open channel hydraulic modeling and design of storm/combined sewer systems. Conduct analysis and design of water distribution systems, including transient analysis. Perform 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling of storm/combined sewer and riverine systems, and open‑channel modeling of streams to evaluate bridge structures, scour computations and sediment transport analyses. Conduct H&H analysis for projects such as dam safety evaluations, flood control measures, yield analysis, watershed planning and drought mitigation. Deliver site visits within commuting distance of the office to support H&H analyses and design elements. Assist in the preparation of reports, plans, feasibility studies and alternative design evaluations. Perform floodplain analysis and preparation of CLOMRs/LOMRs for FEMA. Help prepare proposal scope and cost estimates and interact with clients as needed. Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
At least 1 year of professional experience as a Civil Engineer or related role.
Experience with hydraulic and hydrological (1D/2D) modeling in close conduit and open channel systems.
Proficiency in PCSWMM (1D & 2D), SSA for sewer system modeling.
Experience with HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS for watershed and riverine systems modeling.
Experience with WaterGEMS and Hammer for water distribution system modeling.
Working knowledge of GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
Ability to write scripts in R, Python or other data‑processing languages.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D and other CAD tools.
