Dynamic Assemblies Inspector - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
Inspects assemblies of transmissions, gearboxes and other dynamic components for finishes, precision mating or fitting, sizes, dimensions, layouts, locations, and quality of workmanship by visual examination or precision measurement with instruments, gauges, patterns, designs, etc.
Operates special testing instruments and equipment as required.
Uses detailed blueprints, diagrams, engineering acceptance specifications, etc., to determine proper specifications.
Evaluates the condition of transmissions and gearbox components during overhaul and qualifies them after acceptance testing.
Approves acceptable work or rejects work that fails to meet required standards, recommending corrective action to prevent recurrence.
Rechecks work after corrective measures have been completed; inspectors must have had additional training and experience required to handle more difficult and complicated phases of inspection work.
Tools & Equipment Used
Inspectors’ hand and marking tools and electricians’ or mechanics’ hand tools.
Precision measuring instruments and special alignment and testing devices and equipment.
Experience & Other Requirements
Two years assembly inspection experience plus one year dynamic components assembly inspection experience, OR
Three years assembly inspection experience at Bell Helicopter Textron.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) & Export Administration Regulations (EAR) This position requires use of information subject to ITAR.
