Summary Mortenson is seeking an experienced Integrated Construction Coordinator II to implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction processes throughout project phases. Strong communication skills are required as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment. Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms
Use Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D to design optimized road and site grading models, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading groups, etc.
Work with survey data; communicate with project field teams through Trimble Business Center software to deliver designs to survey equipment
Perform model creation, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning and record modeling as required by Mortenson BIM/VDC
Serve as point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction
Document work processes to improve or change current company process standards
Assist in training on VDC processes
Encourage all integrated construction team members to actively participate in Mortenson’s IDAT community of practice
Plan daily work schedule
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent field
Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or ArcGIS software
4+ years related experience
Survey data knowledge and/or experience is preferred
GIS data management experience is a plus
Completion of intermediate level BIM/VDC software training
Detail orientation to organize and handle multiple project tasks
Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
Intermediate Microsoft Office, Project, and web application skills
Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively
Strong communication, teamwork orientation, initiative, problem‑solving, and leadership skills
Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
Current driver’s license

Base pay range: $89,500 – $120,800. (Higher ranges for Denver, CO; Chicago, IL – 5%; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR – 10%; Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
