Sr. CNC Vertical Lathe — Vertical Turning Lathe & Vertical Boring Mill (Weekend Night Shift)
Shift: 3 X 12‑hour weekend night shift (Friday‑Sunday, 5:30 AM‑6:00 PM).
Location: Siemens Energy (nationwide relocation available for qualified candidates, terms apply).
Responsibilities
Set up and operate 6‑meter and 8‑meter CNC Vertical Turn/Mill machines (VTL/VBM, 840D controls); install components, tooling, and programs; adjust machine settings.
Perform turning, drilling, and milling operations on a variety of components; load/unload components from machines and assist crane operations.
Cross‑train on other CNC VBM machines as needed to support area workload.
Read and interpret blueprints or CAD files, operate a computer to retrieve, record, and read product data; calculate dimensions and tolerances with precision measuring tools.
Set up, operate, and disassemble both manual and CNC machines; measure and test finished products to verify quality; clean, deburr work products; operate cranes to move product.
Ensure all materials, tools, and traceability requirements are reviewed and available before starting work.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; minimum 3 years CNC machining experience or equivalent.
Mechanical degree, apprenticeship, certificates preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, strong math and communication skills.
Proficient in working independently and autonomously; strong digital literacy.
Experience adjusting machine feeds and speeds; changing cutting tools and machine controls to meet blueprint specifications; strong understanding of G‑Code and M‑Code.
Preferred: Siemens 840D controls knowledge.
