Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, with facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland, Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. This role will be located at our Loveland, Ohio or Englewood, Colorado facility.

Role Overview The Lead Mechanical Analysis Engineer provides expertise and guidance in mechanical stress, lifting, and vibration analysis, and manages a small team of analysts. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively guide and develop a team.

Responsibilities

Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements.

Apply stress and finite element analysis using ANSYS Workbench and associated tools, performing static, dynamic vibration, shock, plasticity, interference, thermal, contact, and fatigue analysis.

Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective, setting test objectives, instrumentation, data requirements, and test plans.

Serve as the component design subject‑matter expert within a diverse system design team, ensuring products and subsystems meet overall requirements while advocating for durability.

Lead design reviews and coordinate with disciplines such as performance, controls, stress and life, additive manufacturing, materials, and system analysis.

Demonstrate management experience, organizing tasks, setting priorities, and motivating a team while communicating significant issues.

Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Mentor or manage engineers in their technical development.

Participate in R&D of technologies and methodologies related to additive design, advising on product design improvements.

Initially an individual contributor, grow leadership capabilities as the organization expands.

Ensure proper documentation of technical data consistent with engineering best practices.

Work with suppliers to procure hardware and resolve producibility and quality issues.

Qualifications

8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree.

Strong understanding of design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, etc.).

Experience with additive manufacturing technologies and design‑for‑additive principles.

Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations.

Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Demonstrated problem‑solving, program leadership, and execution abilities.

Proven self‑starter and quick learner who can work in fast‑paced cross‑functional teams.

Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $134,649‑$194,494 base salary. Salary is a general guideline; we consider various factors when extending an offer.
