Property Tax Associate – von Briesen & Roper, s.c.
We are seeking a Mid-Senior Level Associate to join our growing and nationally-recognized Property Tax team in Milwaukee. The Associate will assist with a mix of advisory, transactional, and litigation work involving property tax assessments.
Primary responsibilities:
Review property tax assessments.
Prepare and file appeals; work with appraisers and valuation experts to analyze property values; negotiate settlements with taxing authorities to achieve assessments or refunds.
Represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings involving property tax disputes.
Stay current with changes in state and local tax laws and present insights to clients and within the firm.
Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in property tax or real estate litigation.
Business or accounting background strongly desired.
Highly motivated, strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills.
Passion for client service; willingness to collaborate with internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff.
Benefits:
Competitive compensation: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 a year.
