A leading $8B alternative credit platform is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Real Estate Private Credit team in New York. The firm specializes in structured and asset‑based credit strategies across real estate and corporate lending, with a strong institutional investor base and a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture.

This role will focus on originating and underwriting new real estate credit opportunities across major property types, including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and specialty sectors. The Senior Associate will play a key role in deal execution, portfolio construction, and ongoing relationship management with sponsors and borrowers.

Key Responsibilities

Support origination, underwriting, and structuring of real estate debt investments, including senior, mezzanine, and preferred equity positions.

Lead financial modeling, credit analysis, and due diligence for new investment opportunities.

Prepare investment committee materials, memos, and presentations.

Collaborate with portfolio management and asset management teams on performance monitoring and reporting.

Interface with borrowers, sponsors, and capital partners to support ongoing deal flow and relationship development.

Contribute to broader team initiatives related to market coverage, pipeline tracking, and capital deployment strategy.

Ideal Background

2–5 years of experience within real estate credit, lending, or structured finance.

Real estate lending or structured finance within corporate or commercial banking.

Strong analytical and modeling skills with deep familiarity in real estate valuation, capital structures, and credit underwriting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to internal stakeholders and investment committees.

High degree of initiative, judgment, and accountability — suited for a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.

Compensation Base: $125,000 – $150,000 per year.

All‑in: $170,000 – $260,000 (pending performance).
