Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accountant (Hybrid) in Westchester County, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor operations across alternative investment vehicles. In this hybrid role, you will assist with close processes, work with fund administrators and auditors, support capital activity, and maintain accurate books and records. Ideal candidates bring early‑career fund or financial services accounting experience with strong attention to detail and familiarity with fund reporting workflows.
Job Overview
Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000/year + bonus
Location: Westchester County, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close: Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
Fund Administrator Oversight: Reconcile internal books and records with fund administrator reports while coordinating with third‑party service providers.
Reconciliations & GL Support: Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Audit, Tax & Compliance Support: Assist with financial statement audits, tax filings, K‑1s, and required regulatory and investor reporting.
Capital Activity & Treasury: Support cash management, accounts payable, capital calls, distributions, allocations, and treasury‑related activities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience within public accounting, fund administration, or financial services, with exposure to investment funds preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and strong Excel skills, with the ability to learn new financial systems.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting processes, and fund accounting or investment management environments.
Skills & Attributes: Detail‑oriented, organized professional with strong analytical skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
