Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller with food manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will serve as the key financial advisor to the plant management team, providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision‑making issues affecting the plant. This role will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the plant.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss by division, forecast versus budget, and weekly cash flow by division.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure that all statutory requirements, including taxation and other regulatory requirements, are met.
Prepare supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
Review monthly results and implement variance reporting relative to budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with financial software.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Strong leadership qualities and team‑management ability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Capacity to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.
