Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven
Estimator with Sales Experience
to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional who can accurately assess project costs while also building client relationships and closing sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates for construction and/or millwork projects and supporting sales initiatives by presenting estimates and proposals to clients in a compelling, knowledgeable manner.
Key Responsibilities Estimating
Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential and/or commercial construction and millwork projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to create takeoffs and scopes of work.
Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and vendors.
Maintain historical cost data for reference and benchmarking.
Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure estimates align with actual field conditions and build strategies.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering alternatives.
Sales
Serve as a point of contact for clients during the proposal and bidding phase.
Present estimates and project proposals in a professional and persuasive manner.
Follow up with clients to answer questions, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Track leads, proposals, and conversions in CRM software.
Attend networking events and job site visits to foster business growth.
Working Conditions
Office-based with frequent visits to job sites and client meetings.
Occasional evening or weekend work for events or urgent deadlines.
Compensation
Salary + Commission or Performance Bonus

Requirements Qualifications 3+ years of experience in construction and/or millwork estimating (residential or commercial).
1–3 years of experience in a client-facing sales or business development role.
Proficient in estimating software (Buildertrend).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, and developers.
CRM software experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
