Job Summary The Production Supervisor leads a team of production employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role manages daily workflow, oversees all stages of the production process, and ensures compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards. The supervisor provides coaching, resolves issues, and supports continuous improvement while meeting production goals.
Job Duties
Schedule and direct daily production activities to meet goals.
Monitor processes such as mixing, filling, packaging, and storage to ensure quality and efficiency.
Maintain equipment functionality and sanitation; coordinate repairs when needed.
Enforce safety, food safety, and GMP standards; investigate and report incidents.
Ensure production schedules, materials, and staffing needs are met.
Support continuous improvement and cost-control efforts.
Coach employees, address performance issues, and uphold company/union policies.
Handle staffing changes, timekeeping, evaluations, and training.
Communicate expectations through shift meetings and daily interactions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; associate/bachelor’s preferred.
2–5 years of manufacturing experience (food/beverage preferred).
At least 2 years of lead or supervisory experience; union experience a plus.
Aseptic processing experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and business systems.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively with others.
Must read, write, and speak English.
