We are seeking a detail‑oriented
Staff Tax Accountant . This is a permanent, direct hire position on a strong, collaborative team. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of tax laws and GAAP, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize compliance
Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
Respond to tax notices and inquiries from government agencies on behalf of clients
Maintain organized records and ensure timely filing of all tax‑related documents
Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to provide integrated client service
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or EA preferred
3–5 years of tax accounting experience in a public accounting environment
Strong understanding of federal and state tax codes and regulations
Proficiency in tax preparation software, ERPs, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Seniority level Associate
