Leasing Consultant – Virginia Beach, VA Burlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications to be considered for a full-time Leasing Consultant position at Twin Canal Village in Virginia Beach, VA. We pride ourselves on the quality living experience we provide to our residents and therefore are considering individuals with demonstrated abilities in the areas of customer service and resident relations.
Qualified applicants must have previous leasing and/or customer service experience. This full-time position requires availability Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
The Successful Leasing Consultant Will
Perform activities related to apartment rental to include providing apartment tours, qualifying prospective residents, preparing documentation and completing move-in procedures.
Maintain resident relations by providing excellent customer service and participating in resident promotions or functions as required by management.
Meet with current residents regarding lease renewal and rates.
Represent the property community in a positive manner and convey the benefits of the community to prospective residents.
Proactively participate in the team effort to accomplish desired results.
Participate in staff meetings as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent customer service, follow-up, and follow-through skills a must.
Ability to communicate effectively in order to communicate issues, problems, ideas, concerns and information on work progress.
Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public.
Minimum of two years sales/leasing experience or equivalent preferred.
Previous project‑based Section 8 and LIHTC experience a must.
Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision.
Familiar with office operating machines (i.e., fax, copier, binders, etc.).
Proficient computer skills to perform essential functions.
Basic math and bookkeeping skills required.
Must have basic understanding of the English language, and be able to communicate effectively and professionally.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.
