Responsibilities Carry a caseload of delinquent accounts related to filings or payment of tax liabilities.

Help taxpayers correct delinquencies via written correspondence, answering complex taxpayer questions related to Nebraska regulations, statutes, forms, refunds, and licensing inquiries.

Interpret and apply policies, laws, rules, and regulations to resolve tax compliance issues.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in business OR 2 years of experience with tax return preparation, business ownership and operation, account research and analysis, or interpretation and application of policies, laws, rules, or regulations.

Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).

Knowledge of: collection processes, mathematics and accounting, business operations, tax law resources, Excel, Word, Oracle, Outlook.

Skills: verbal and written communication, negotiation, active listening, emotional intelligence, reading comprehension, time management, critical thinking, data entry, computer use, databases, asset discovery, skip tracing, customer service.

Abilities: communicate clear and concise ideas, use interpretive techniques, organize and verify tax data, set priorities, relate effectively with diverse backgrounds, interpret difficult tax programs, determine non‑compliance causes, use independent judgment.
