Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly financial analysis, including review of assets, liabilities, and payroll data.
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts and general ledger entries during month-end close.
Track program-specific expenses, revenues, and funding streams.
Maintain detailed and compliant financial records in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist Accounting Manager, Controller, and other departments with financial reporting and decision support.
Support day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and expense management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
Master’s degree (preferred)
CPA Certification (highly desired)
Minimum of 5+ years of professional accounting experience
Certifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
Experience with accounting software, preferably NetSuite
Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting in a non-profit environment is a plus
Work Schedule & Location
Hybrid schedule: Work remotely with on-site presence required 1 day every other week

Annual Salary: $90,000
