Grand Canyon University is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University located in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Grants Administrator will support both the pre- and post-award processes in the Office of Research and Grants.

What You Will Do

Grant Application Management: Contribute to the preparation, submission, and tracking of grant applications in accordance with funding agency guidelines and organizational priorities.

Grant Identification: Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and strategic objectives. Evaluate grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, and deadlines to determine viability and fit for the organization.

Budget Development and Planning: Collaborate with program managers and finance personnel to develop accurate and realistic budgets for grant proposals. Ensure compliance with funder's budgetary guidelines and regulations, and provide support in budget narrative development.

Grant Compliance and Reporting: Monitor grant agreements, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with funding requirements and regulations. Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial and programmatic reports as required by grant agreements and funding agencies.

Grant Administration and Communication: Serve as a point of contact for grant-related inquiries and communications from funding agencies. Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders, such as program staff, finance, and development teams, to ensure effective grant implementation and reporting.

Support Other Research Programs: Provide secondary support for other programmatic initiatives within the Office of Research and Grants as assigned.

Complete other duties as assigned.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

Analytical and project/process management skills.

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate complex information in a professional, academic manner with the university community, business partners, administration, and students.

Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Bonus

Minimum of one year experience working in a grant’s office full-time or as an intern.

Experience with professional writing for grants or publication.
