Senior Accountant – Full Cycle with Lease Exp.

Job Details We are seeking a dynamic, detail‑oriented Consulting Senior Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to apply their skills in a fast‑paced, challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting operations related to income statements, financials, Great Plains, intercompany, and balance sheets.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial report preparations.
Prepare and analyze monthly income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Utilize MS Dynamics software to manage and streamline accounting processes.
Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by senior management.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
ASC Lease accounting.
Balance sheet accounts and offsets.
Full‑cycle with little direction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficient in Great Plains or similar accounting software.
Solid understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and financials.
Experience in handling intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make well‑judged decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
