Documentation Associate
EastRise Credit Union is seeking a Documentation Associate to support daily operations under the guidance of the Documentation Manager. Daily duties include imaging, filing, and indexing loan, teller, and department documents, as well as assisting with quality control, research, and confidential transaction inquiries.
Pay Range $20.09/hr – $22.32/hr (base pay)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare digital and physical documents for scanning, indexing, and filing in a timely manner by reviewing documentation for proper indexing fields, verifying legibility, and ensuring successful import to the imaging system.
Create and maintain physical loan files for mortgage, home equity, and business loans; file, audit, and validate loan document files, security instruments and legal documents.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of client portfolio files, including reviewing and adjusting new account entries and account revisions.
File and retain branch and teller items; monitor requests to process items such as checks, bonds and adjustments for Transit.
Process documentation and release requests for paid loan files.
Support all Document Management functions within the department to assist members and other departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
1 to 3 years’ experience in a financial institution or similar environment.
Experience in document recognition and record retention processes.
Familiarity with confidential information and customer privacy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Education / Certifications / Licenses A high school diploma or equivalent.
Interpersonal Skills Professional courtesy in dealing with others is required. Duties may involve internal contact and occasional member communication via telephone or email.
Other Skills Minimum age 18. Background, credit, criminal, bond, and reference checks required. Travel to other branches may be required.
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, sit, bend or move to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergencies and operating routine office equipment.
Working Conditions Work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must perform job functions independently or with limited supervision, handle multiple priorities, and maintain discretion with confidential matters.
