We spend our days positively impacting the summer camp community around us, helping children reach their potential, enact age‑appropriate goals, and change lives in our Y community.

Qualifications
At least 18 years old
High school graduate or equivalent
Or enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements
Experience working with children and at least two seasons as a Y Camp Counselor or a comparable program counselor
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience
Responsibilities
Supervise campers and plan camp activities; actively participate to encourage participation
Ensure all campers can participate in all activities, regardless of varied abilities—physical or intellectual
Identify, address, and redirect/correct inappropriate behavior
Ensure appropriate behavior of campers and staff to avoid risk of accidents
Assist in maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians regarding camper and camp activities
