Role Overview As a Financial Solutions Advisor in the centralized segment of the Advisor Development Program, your journey begins by obtaining Securities Industry licenses, receiving dedicated classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 exams. After licensing, you will be taught foundational advisory skills: acquiring, building and managing client relationships, considering complex financial pictures, and guiding clients with advice and solutions to help them live their best financial lives.

The centralized Financial Solutions Advisors are phone‑based licensed advisors who provide holistic financial advice, identify broader product and service solutions that meet clients’ investment, savings and liability management needs, and align Merrill and Bank of America products where appropriate.

During this stage, you receive training and guidance through a defined path to become the financial advisor you want to be. You will work with affluent and high‑net‑worth clients, identify needs, develop relationships, review investment goals, and prepare recommendations that align with the goals of both existing and prospective clients. Upon success, you progress to the next stage as a Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA).
