The Role We’re looking for an HR Generalist to own payroll, benefits administration, and support key HR operations. This role is hands‑on and detail‑oriented, covering everything from onboarding and offboarding to ensuring compliance and accuracy in day‑to‑day processes. You’ll play a vital part in supporting employees and strengthening HR systems.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Process bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on time
Maintain employee data, process new hires and terminations, and conduct new hire orientations
Administer benefits including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA, FMLA, and PTO
Support 401(k) administration and deferred compensation plans
Serve as the first point of contact for payroll and benefits questions
Work with legal and external counsel on immigration cases and compliance tracking
Assist with HR policy administration and compliance documentationSupport offboarding processes, including system terminations and exit tasks
Prepare reports, maintain files, and track employment verifications
Monitor work authorization due dates and ensure compliance
Other duties as assigned
Essentials to Succeed
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration; independent ownership preferred
Proven payroll processing experience from start to finish, including terminations, expense reimbursements, and tax documentation
Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms and payroll systems
Familiarity with benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, COBRA, FMLA, PTO, 401(k) plans, deferred compensation, and ACA compliance
Solid understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reports, data analysis, tracking files)
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including data entry, orientation, and exit processing
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines
