We have been the leader in the arcade, amusement, and entertainment industry for over 40 years and are looking for a determined individual to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist on-site in Itasca, IL.
Position Overview The Human Resource Generalist is directly responsible for the human resources functions of talent attraction, hiring, training and development, employee engagement and performance, compensation and benefits, payroll processing and timekeeping. This position requires strong communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Administer full‑cycle recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
Create and improve processes to enhance the overall HR operational workflow.
Manage new system and software implementations.
Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
Schedule and conduct new employee orientations.
Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures.
Provide managers with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, or documentation of performance issues.
Administration of benefits for all employees and required reporting.
Semi‑monthly payroll including time and attendance in ADP Workforce Now.
Compliance and reporting for EEO, 401k, FSA, ADA, workers’ compensation and employee leaves.
Lead various initiatives and programs designed to protect and retain the company’s greatest assets, the employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing.
Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Collaborative and self‑motivated, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Proficient in data entry and HRIS systems.
Ability to think and act strategically when decision‑making independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
