Job Overview Shriners Children’s - Portland is seeking a PRN Department Assistant III to join our Radiology team! This position provides support to the Radiology Department in the areas of reception, clerical duties and frequent communication with hospital staff, patients, and their families. Additionally, this position supports the department director in completion of administrative tasks and departmental operations.

Responsibilities

Performs responsible clerical support for the Diagnostic Imaging manager and support staff

Performs a variety of general clerical support functions to ensure the smooth flow of work within the department

Maintains department files and record keeping systems, computer data programs, assuring irretrievability of information

Tracking imaging procedures done at outside medical facilities/imaging centers

Demonstrates the ability to professionally interact and communicate appropriately with staff, patients, families, and visitors

Receives and distributes Diagnostic Imaging mail daily and in a timely manner, distributes reports, memos and other materials as assigned

Performs any an all other clerical tasks as needed to assist the Department and as assigned by Department Manager
