Job Overview: Valley Custom Woodwork Inc. is seeking a skilled and adaptable Millwork Engineer with strong Cabinet Vision experience to join our fast-paced production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for converting design intent into precise, shop-ready engineering documents and machining data. Your work directly supports the seamless flow of custom commercial millwork projects—from design to execution—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and top-tier craftsmanship.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Develop accurate and efficient Cabinet Vision engineering models, including machining data and production-ready drawings.
Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to create detailed shop drawings and cut lists.
Coordinate with project managers, production staff, and CNC operators to ensure clarity and accuracy of all technical documents.
Manage the transfer of information from design through fabrication, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement design revisions as needed.
Maintain organized digital records of drawings, models, and revisions using company file management protocols.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, shifting focus quickly and efficiently as needed.
Assist in maintaining an efficient workflow and support internal continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in custom millwork or cabinetry engineering (commercial projects preferred).
Proficiency in Cabinet Vision required; Microvellum experience acceptable if candidate can transition to Cabinet Vision.
Strong understanding of machining data and how it translates to shop floor operations.
Advanced ability to read and create architectural and fabrication drawings.
Familiarity with CNC manufacturing processes and ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset; eager to collaborate and support shared goals.
