Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Entry Level Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low voltage systems, including access control, video surveillance, intercoms, and alarm systems. This position offers an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in both commercial and residential environments.
Responsibilities
Install, program, and service low voltage systems such as:
Access control and keyless entry
CCTV/video surveillance
Alarm systems and sensors
Intercom and communication systems
Run and terminate cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
Perform troubleshooting and repairs to ensure system functionality
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Work independently or as part of a team on installation projects
Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent service
Follow company safety policies and industry best practices
Qualifications
1‑3 years of experience in low voltage or related electrical work (preferred)
Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors, outdoors, ladders, ceilings, etc.)
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus
