We are seeking an experienced
Senior Server Administrator
to manage and maintain our Windows Server environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory administration, virtualization, and storage management, with the ability to design, implement, and support complex systems in a dynamic IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019).
Administer and maintain
Active Directory , including Users and Computers, Sites and Services, Domains and Trusts, Group Policy and DNS configuration.
Manage
domain controllers , replication, and domain name registration.
Administer
SAN storage systems
(e.g., HPE Nimble, Dell EqualLogic), including volume/share creation and server provisioning using RAID 6.
Oversee
backup and disaster recovery systems , including CommVault and other backup platforms.
Support
database environments
(Oracle and SQL Server) and collaborate with database administrators for system performance and integrity.
Manage
virtualization platforms
such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, including deployment and maintenance of virtual machines and networks.
Develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures for server hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Support
Windows Remote Desktop Services
and workstation provisioning through Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
Manage
software deployment systems
such as WSUS and PDQ Deploy.
Perform
user account management , including account creation, password resets, and access permissions.
Monitor system performance, apply updates and patches, and participate in hardware lifecycle management.
Learn and adapt to new technologies through ongoing training, observation, and structured learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
8–10 years
of experience in Windows Server administration or similar roles (flexible based on expertise).
Strong knowledge of
Active Directory ,
DNS ,
Group Policy , and
server/network fundamentals .
Experience managing
SAN storage ,
RAID configurations , and
backup/restore processes .
Proficiency in
Hyper-V ,
VMware , and Windows‑based management tools.
Familiarity with
SQL and Oracle
environments.
Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies through training and hands‑on experience.
On‑site role
in the Greater Phoenix Area
No on‑call rotation
Tools and environments are
Windows‑based , with occasional
VMware Linux deployments
Schedule: 6am–3pm (flexibility for later / earlier start)
