Job Summary
We are hiring immediately for an On‑Call Audio Visual Technician at Pfizer, located at 445 Eastern Point Road, Groton, Connecticut 06340. Online applications only. The role involves ensuring all audio‑visual requirements requested by clients are met and providing technical assistance for events and meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review customer and meeting planner requests from the reservation system and provide equipment or assistance as needed.
Collect and distribute information from email and phone communications to the assigned contact.
Provide problem escalation support and issue resolution, following up on service challenges and working with management to take corrective action.
Assist all meetings and customers that require tech services for their events.
Follow SOPs for audio‑visual support as provided by the AV Manager and Director of Technology and Operations.
Conduct weekly preventive maintenance room sweeps and report sweep information through the database.
Change data projectors, lamps, and cabling pieces associated with all integrated systems throughout the portfolio.
Review operation of equipment with customers and ensure their comfort with its use.
Offer assistance in operating equipment and help solve problems when customers are unsure of requirements.
Educate staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
Maintain metrics associated with room equipment inventory and repairs/replacements completed in conference rooms.
Communicate with co‑workers and service partners to ensure updated information is shared.
Assist with conference room set‑ups, break‑downs, and any other areas where assistance is needed.
Keep the A/V storerooms organized and well managed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of experience supporting audio‑visual for events.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation Pay Range: $20.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and schedule.
