Family Law Attorney (Florida Licenced) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney licensed to practice in the State of Florida to handle a full range of domestic relations matters. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Florida family law statutes, local court procedures, and client advocacy from initial consultation through final hearing or trial.

Required Qualifications

Active license and good standing with the Florida Bar (mandatory)

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Minimum X years of experience practicing family law in Florida (preferred)

Strong working knowledge of Florida Statutes Chapter 61, Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure, and local administrative orders

Experience appearing before Florida circuit court judges and magistrates

Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills

Ability to manage a full caseload independently

Core Responsibilities

Represent clients in family law matters, including:

Dissolution of marriage (contested and uncontested)

Child custody and time-sharing disputes

Child support and alimony

Paternity actions

Modifications and enforcement proceedings

Domestic violence injunctions

Draft and review pleadings, motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and proposed orders

Appear at hearings, mediations, case management conferences, and trials

Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and strategy under Florida law

Conduct discovery, depositions, and trial preparation

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Maintain accurate case records and comply with ethical obligations under Florida Bar rules

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with Orange, Osceola, Seminole, or other Florida circuits (or specify your jurisdiction)

Trial experience in family law cases

Familiarity with e-filing through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal

Experience with mediation and settlement negotiations

Proficiency in case management software (e.g., CLIO, MyCase, PracticePanther)

Work Environment & Compensation

Full-time / Part-time / Contract (select as applicable)
