We are seeking a
Level 1 Inspector
on a 6-month contract to perform
independent Quality Assurance reviews
of
electronic certification (e-Cert) data packages
for our clients' program. This role validates inspection documentation, verifies compliance with SpaceX specifications, and identifies discrepancies or nonconformances prior to hardware release. The position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with quality records, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to engineering and quality teams. Key Responsibilities
Review and validate
e-Cert packages
for hardware, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Verify completeness and accuracy of inspection records, test data, and certifications per SpaceX standards. Identify and document
errors or escapes , communicating findings to Quality and Engineering. Ensure compliance with build plans, procedures, and QMS/NASA specifications. Maintain traceability between inspection results and associated hardware. Generate reports summarizing review metrics, defect trends, and improvement opportunities. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent ; technical or associate degree preferred. Minimum
2 years of experience
in
quality inspection, document review, or manufacturing QA
in aerospace or a regulated industry. Understanding of
inspection documentation, certifications, and traceability . Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
and familiarity with electronic document systems. Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing
certifications, FAIRs, or test data
in aerospace environments. Knowledge of
AS9100, ISO 9001, NASA, or SpaceX quality standards . Exposure to
nonconformance (MRB) processes
or
digital certification tools . Basic knowledge of
root cause analysis
and
corrective action
practices. $25 - $28 an hour, based on experience and qualifications. Note: SQA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
