Base pay range $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented
Documentation Specialist
to join our team and support a leading aerospace company specializing in flight deck window production. This is a
full-time, 40-hour per week, 3-month contract
with potential for extension.
This role has an anticipated mid-September start date.
Key Responsibilities
Review manufacturing documentation (e.g., technical drawings, assembly instructions, material specs, quality reports, test data) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
Ensure documentation adheres to AS9100, FAA, and customer-specific standards
Work with engineering and quality teams to confirm alignment with production processes and regulatory guidelines
Verify version control of manufacturing documents, ensuring the most current versions are used
Perform other related tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
Technical knowledge as an inspector, documentation control reviewer, junior engineer, or related field (or a combination of relevant education and experience)
Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations)
Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAIs)
Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
2+ years of experience in documentation control or manufacturing documentation review in aerospace or a similarly regulated industry
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies in technical documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of documentation review, quality, or manufacturing support experience in aerospace or a similar industry
Certification in AS9100 Internal Auditing or Quality Engineering (CQE)
Proficiency with ERP/document control systems (e.g., SAP, Windchill)
Working knowledge of GD&T and aerospace technical drawings
