Responsibilities
Guide clients through the probate process, ensuring clarity and confidence at every step. (This includes guardianships and conservatorships).
Represent clients in probate litigation, advocating for their interests with diligence and integrity.
Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Colorado laws.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide informed counsel.
Work closely with our team to foster a supportive and collaborative environment, enhancing client outcomes.
Participate in community outreach to educate and empower individuals about estate planning and elder law issues.
Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
Prepare wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents
Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
Qualifications
Knowledge of case management software programs, particularly Smokeball, is a plus.
Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation
Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years is required
Compensation $80,000 - $90,000 yearly
