DCGS Lowband Software Support Engineer (Onsite)
Join Collins Aerospace to support the U.S. Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Signals Intelligence Field Support (DSFS) as a Lowband Journeyman Expert in Fort Meade, MD. This on‑site role requires a current TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
What You Will Do
Manage multiple airborne SIGINT sensor missions and processes simultaneously at a Core site.
Operate and interface with aircraft, sensors, sites, networks, systems, and O&M personnel.
Provide updates to Maintenance Technician processes.
Diagnose sensor and ground system faults and troubleshoot Low Band Systems and associated infrastructure.
Create, update, and respond to incident tickets.
Monitor SIGINT system and network health/status across sensors, platforms, and DCGS SIGINT systems.
Perform comprehensive analysis, diagnostics, and fault isolation for ground and end‑to‑end network paths.
Support system upgrades and provide sustainment during upgrades.
Maintain network connections between SIGINT sensors and ground equipment.
Recommend process and network improvements.
Communicate systems status to operations and maintenance personnel and close debriefs as appropriate.
Execute pre‑mission, mission, and post‑mission responsibilities for SR systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
At least 2 years of SIGINT experience.
Strong knowledge of Computer Operations, Networks, Signal Intelligence, Linux, and Windows system administration.
Typically a STEM degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II or IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, CAP).
U.S. citizenship and a current TS/SCI security clearance.
Ability to work shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior DCGS and SIGINT experience.
Knowledge of COTS components, operational concepts, failure indications, troubleshooting techniques, and recovery methodologies.
Experience with military SIGINT domains such as processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) architectures.
Administration of operator accounts.
Experience with software development (shell scripts, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, C#, Java, XML, HTML, etc.) in virtual machine environments and SecureView.

Salary: $82,000 – $164,000 USD.
