How a Storage Administrator will make an impact

Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting database backups

Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to NetApp and Commvault systems

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, best practices, and standard operating procedures

Mentor and train other support engineers in the team, sharing knowledge and best practices

Stay current with the latest NetApp technologies, best practices, and certifications

Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues

Ensure all storage devices are security compliant

Contribute to monitoring of team metrics and KPIs, ensuring the health and success of the service

Collaborate with other cross‑functional teams in both engineering and security

What you’ll need to succeed

Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI wPoly

Preferred Skills:

Demonstrate an understanding of technology as it pertains to infrastructure and applications and be able to provide design recommendations.

Proven track record in designing and managing enterprise storage environments.

Expert knowledge of NetApp ONTAP hardware, software, and associated features (e.g., Snapshot, SnapVault, FlexClone, SnapMirror, FlexVol, Fabric Pool, and Object Storage).

Proficiency in NAS protocols, including NFS and SMB.

Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical and performance issues in storage environments.

Knowledge of the NetApp storage grid.

Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and their integration with storage systems.

Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.

Windows and UNIX knowledge.

US Citizenship Required

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified - Required

Salary and Benefit Information: The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
