The VISTA Project serves low-income communities in Santurce by empowering local businesses and families through innovative media tools and co‑creating a cultural agenda that fosters economic opportunities. The VISTA member will build capacity by organizing workshops, providing technical assistance, and developing partnerships to amplify community voices and strengthen collaboration. These efforts aim to break the cycle of poverty by enhancing access to resources, promoting self‑reliance, and creating sustainable systems that benefit the entire community.
Member Duties Assess the strengths and needs of community leadership using participatory methodologies to develop an economic development strategy that leverages the cultural assets of Sagradoazón, Barrio Obrero, Buena Vista, Santurce, Cantera, Villa Palmeras.
Program Benefits Health Coverage, Training, of Education Award or End of Service Stipend, Stipend, Living Allowance, Childcare assistance if eligible, Relocation Allowance.
