Essential Job Functions
Perform DB refreshes/clones and provide support for building development and testing DBs. (20%)
Install, patch, and upgrade database software. (15%)
Execute, schedule, restore, and maintain DB backups. (15%)
Configure and maintain a highly available database architecture including Real Application Clusters (RAC), DataGuard, and Automated Storage Management (ASM). (15%)
Troubleshoot the database software and its infrastructure; engage and support the software vendor when necessary. (10%)
Participate in performance monitoring and root cause analysis in the DB layer and other layers as applicable. (5%)
Provide tight security for all data and support third‑party vendor tools such as Privileged Identity Manager (PIM), Imperva Data Security Fabric, etc. (5%)
Support Agile sprints when required. (5%)
Provide support for the PSR Team including analyzing, troubleshooting, and executing data corrections on production databases. (5%)
Manage accounts for users that access production data; develop procedures for documenting accounts and monitor user compliance. (5%)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience supporting custom development environments.
ITIL and governance experience preferred.
In‑depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, shell & SQL scripting.
Experience managing Oracle databases version 19C on Linux.
Solid experience in managing Oracle 19C databases with ASM, RAC, and Data Guard.
Experience developing tools to administer large numbers of test & development database environments.
Experience with on‑call and carrying a 24x7 pager for supporting Production & Development database systems.
Experience designing, installing & maintaining large‑size databases.
Performance tuning large‑size databases & applications.
Knowledge & experience in setting up infrastructure for databases in datacenters at multiple sites including cloud infrastructure.
Experience moving live production, development and testing databases and applications hosted in different physical sites including cloud environments.
Experience with administration of Oracle on Oracle ExaData.
Experience using Remedy and/or ServiceNow.
Certifications and Licences
ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred).
Oracle Certified Professional (preferred).
AWS cloud certification (preferred).
Initial Screening Criteria
Experience with Oracle Grid, RAC, and Data Guard (required).
Experience with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (required).
Experience with ITIL - Helix Remedy / ServiceNow (preferred).
