About the Role As our
Sr. Business Systems Administrator – NetSuite
you will ensure robust daily management and optimization of NetSuite and actively participate in the solution design and implementation. You will bring extensive NetSuite expertise – especially in Financials, SuiteProjects Pro (PSA), and Planning and Forecasting – along with hands‑on integration knowledge (Workato preferred), comprehensive reporting skills, and deep familiarity with corporate accounting. This is a freelance‑to‑full‑time opportunity.
What You’ll Do NetSuite Administration & Optimization
Serve as the primary administrator for all NetSuite environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Provide ongoing end‑user support, training, and troubleshooting.
Actively participate in the full lifecycle NetSuite implementation, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Oversee configuration and customization of NetSuite modules, especially Financials, PSA+, and Planning and Forecasting.
Create and maintain roles, permissions, and access profiles according to best practice and audit requirements.
Design, build, test, and deploy saved searches, reports, workflows and dashboards to deliver actionable business insights.
Manage multi‑subsidiary, multi‑currency, and intercompany transaction processes, ensuring compliance and consistency across entities.
Assist with data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Manage NetSuite upgrades, new releases, and patch management.
Develop and maintain documentation for NetSuite configurations, processes, and user guides.
Design, develop, and maintain NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk.
Create and optimize workflows to automate business processes.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Manage NetSuite security settings and access controls.
Integration & Automation
Lead integration projects between NetSuite and other business applications, with a preference for Workato as the integration platform.
Develop, maintain, and optimize data flows and system automations to streamline operations.
Support and optimize integrations with Google Shared Drive, Concur, Jira, Salesforce, and Strata (media buying platform).
Troubleshoot integration issues and proactively identify opportunities for system enhancement.
Deeply support and continuously improve all financial modules, including GL, AR, AP, multi‑currency, intercompany, financial consolidations, and month‑end close.
Guide best‑practice use of PSA+ for project management, resource allocation, time tracking, and billing.
Ensure Planning & Forecasting processes leverage industry best practices – preferably with Oracle NetSuite Planning.
Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Project Management, Client Services, etc.) to understand their needs and translate them into NetSuite solutions.
Reporting & Data Analytics
Develop and maintain sophisticated Saved Searches and scheduled reports to support analytics, compliance, and decision‑making needs.
Deliver ad hoc data extracts and system audits as required by business leadership.
Cross‑Functional & Strategic Leadership
Participate in system design sessions, requirements gathering, and solution design for new capabilities or integrations.
Advise on NetSuite Admin best practices, change management, and release governance; work closely with IT.
Develop and deliver user training and documentation.
Stay current on NetSuite releases, industry trends, and innovations in ERP, sharing knowledge with internal teams and continuous improvement programs.
What you’ll bring
Minimum 7 years of hands‑on NetSuite administration, including Financials, PSA+, and Planning/Forecasting modules.
Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting NetSuite integrations (Workato preferred).
Deep expertise with NetSuite Reporting and Saved Searches, multi‑currency, and intercompany transaction management.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial close processes, and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional business acumen and communication skills, able to bridge IT and Finance/Operations.
Comfortable working remote and collaborating with teams across CST, EST, and PST.
NetSuite Administrator certification (strongly preferred); additional certifications (SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, SuiteCloud Developer, PSA) are a plus.
Bonus Points For
Experience in the Advertising, Media, or Professional Service industry.
Familiarity with media buying processes and workflows.
Hands‑on experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) for collaboration and reporting.
Knowledge of Concur for expense management and integration with NetSuite financials.
Experience with Jira for project management, issue tracking, and integration workflows.
Working knowledge of Strata (media buying platform) and integrating media buying data with NetSuite.
Hyperion/Oracle PBCS or NetSuite Planning experience.
Experience integrating or managing AI‑powered NetSuite features, such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, or external AI models via SuiteCloud and AI Connector.
SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, or SuiteAnalytics advanced knowledge.
Past involvement in digital transformation or ERP optimization projects.
Familiarity with project‑based billing and revenue recognition.
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Salary & Benefits Salary range:
$65.00 – $75.00 hourly
