Scrum Master – Avetta
Location:
Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days work‑from‑home) for those within commutable distance; remote possible for others.

As a Scrum Master, you will lead a single Scrum team to deliver strategic initiatives by implementing Agile practices, facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Engineers to ensure team initiatives are planned, developed, and delivered on time, aligning with intended value.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective) to drive continuous improvement and value delivery.
Guide the team to identify and address dependencies and risks during Big Room Planning (PI Planning), helping the team align on quarterly OKRs, scope, and capacity.
Support the Product Owner by: Assisting in product discovery and using Agile prioritization techniques to manage the backlog.
Coaching the team on backlog refinement and estimation practices, ensuring concise, actionable stories (e.g., vertical slicing).
Build a high‑performing, self‑organizing team by fostering cohesion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Actively identify and help remove impediments, both technical and non‑technical, that affect delivery.
Promote Agile metrics to track performance, improve quality, predictability, and flow.
Enable the team to take ownership of their work and actions, guiding them through retrospectives and teaching problem‑solving techniques.
Ensure transparency of progress by providing clear and regular updates to stakeholders.
Implement and promote Agile quality practices such as Test‑Driven Development (TDD), Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD), and use of CI/CD pipelines.
Ideal Experience
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area.
Experience in Project Management and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.) typically obtained through 3+ years of experience.
PSM I or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is preferred.
Proficiency in Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Jira Align or similar.
Experience managing SaaS product development or large‑scale enterprise solutions.
Proven success in leading Agile transitions and fostering collaboration in cross‑functional teams.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence without direct authority.
Salary Range:
$70,000 – $135,000 USD per year with potential bonus.
