Interim-to-Hire: Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake (Korn Ferry is partnering with a Global PE Firm with 85+ SaaS product companies in their portfolio)

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be a hands‑on builder of scalable data pipelines and architectures that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. This role is 90-95% engineering and 5-10% architecture‑ideal for someone who grew from software/database engineering into data engineering and loves coding.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure, Snowflake, FiveTran, dbt, and Terraform.

Implement dimensional data models, including proper SCD Type II dimension handling.

Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and ensure data quality with tools like Metaplane.

Collaborate with BI teams to deliver Power BI dashboards; familiarity with Figma is a plus.

Apply best practices in cloud architecture (Azure preferred) and data governance.

Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Tech Stack

Cloud: Azure (ADF), Terraform

Data Warehouse: Snowflake

Integration & Transformation: FiveTran, dbt

Monitoring: Metaplane

Visualization: Power BI (Figma a plus)

Languages: SQL, Python

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong experience in data engineering.

Hands‑on coding with SQL and Python; intermediate Snowflake expertise.

Proven ability to design and implement dimensional models.

Experience with Power BI and cloud‑based data platforms.

Self‑starter with initiative, polished communication, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred

Exposure to CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.

Familiarity with data quality frameworks and monitoring tools.
