Appellate Attorney
Prestigious full‑service Texas law firm seeks an experienced appellate attorney to join its Austin office. The role focuses on researching, drafting, and presenting appellate matters and advising trial attorneys on strategy.

Base Pay Range $170,000–$210,000 per year

Responsibilities
Conducting extensive legal research and analysis on complex appellate issues.
Drafting, editing, and finalizing persuasive appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
Presenting oral arguments before appellate courts.
Advising trial attorneys on legal strategy, including the identification and preservation of issues for appeal.
Collaborating with other attorneys and staff to ensure the best representation for our clients.
Keeping informed of developments in the law and disseminating information to colleagues.
Maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Must be a member in good standing in the State Bar of Texas.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in appellate practice, preferably in a law firm setting.
Demonstrated experience in legal research and writing, with a strong ability to analyze and apply legal principles, facts, and precedents to legal problems.
Experience presenting oral arguments before appellate courts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex legal arguments.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
High degree of professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
